About Borago

How does Borago by CCS work?

Borago by CCS cream is based on borago oil – a natural oil extracted from the borage Borago Officinalis. Borago oil is unique in that it is rich in the fatty acid GLA, the same fatty acid that children with cradle cap are deficient in. Borago by CCS adds the fatty acid GLA, the essential building block that is lacking in the child's skin, so the skin's protective barrier normalises.

How do I use Borago by CCS?

For cradle cap:

Apply generously and distribute evenly on the scalp. Use 3 times a day for 8-10 days. The cream provides quick relief, and significant improvements can be seen in the skin after just a few days. The whitish-yellow coating disappears on its own; there is no need to comb or scrape it off.

Continue with maintenance treatment for a long-lasting result. Apply 2-3 times a week, until the child is between 6 and 12 months of age and the cradle cap disappears on its own.

For diaper rash:

Borago by CCS also works for diaper rash. Gently apply to the area on each diaper change for 8-10 days.

How is Borago by CCS developed and tested?

Borago by CCS is the result of many years of research and has been developed in collaboration with Swedish pediatric dermatologists. The cream is tested for skin irritation and is patented in Sweden, Europe and the United States. The lotion has not been tested on animals.
